Chicks Dosirakbento

Chicks bento

A more creative Dosirakbento today: lots of Chicks!

There are some quail chicks in a nest of sukju namul and on the other side there are some onigiri chicks filled with salmon. The face decoration is made with carrot, nori and black sesame seeds.

Actually, my OH remarked this morning that they looked a bit like Angry Birds…What do you think?

I have called it a Dosirakbento because it has both Korean and Japanese components: the Sukju namul (beansprout salad/side dish) is Korean and the Shiozake (salted Salmon)Β is Japanese. The side dishes are broccoli, beans, edamame and more salmon. There is also some soy sauce (in a chick bottle).
